The delivery fee for each item is noted in the "Delivery" section of each product page. The item's delivery fee is applied to each quantity ordered.

Orders are processed and delivered Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. The typical delivery window is 3-10 business days from the day your order leaves our warehouse.

Standard Ground Delivery offers delivery right to your front door (if the destination is an apartment or multi-unit building, the order will be delivered inside the entrance to the building).

Please Note: Standard Ground Delivery does not include un-crating, un-boxing, assembly or trash removal.

Several truck delivery carriers offer additional services to help move merchandise inside your home or office, and also for un-boxing, un-crating, assembly, and trash removal. At the time your merchandise leaves our warehouse we will update your order with tracking information in the "My Orders" section of "My Account". You may then contact the delivery carrier directly to inquire about additional delivery services. In this event, it is your responsibility to directly pay the truck delivery carrier for any additional services.

We do not require an adult signature for deliveries, but please note that the decision to leave your package without a signature is at the discretion of the delivery person. If you want an item left at your doorstep, the best thing to do is leave a note on your door asking the driver to leave your package with "No Signature Required."

We are unable to deliver to P.O. boxes or APO/FPO addresses.

Alaska and Hawaii Standard Ground Delivery

Luminaire also offers delivery to Alaska and Hawaii for an additional fee. The delivery fee to these States will automatically be applied during Checkout.

Wood Crating Packaging Service

At Luminaire, larger or more fragile items, such as certain chairs and lighting, are protected in wood crating.

The wood crating at the top of the item's box will be secured with screws, instead of nails, to make access to the box and removal of the item easier.

Upon receiving a crated item, use a Phillips-head ("crosshead") screwdriver to unscrew and remove the wood from the top of the box. Then, simply open the box and pull the item out.

Optic Alarm Clock - Joe Colombo 1970 Design Has Stood the Test of Time

Optic Alarm Clock

A design that has stood the test of time, Joe Colombo originally designed the Optic Alarm Clock in 1970 for Alessi. In a simple twist of standards, hours are represented by simple dots while the seconds are numbered 1-60 around the dial. A subtle detail, at the end of the hour hand, a small circular hole reveals the dot below on each hour. The prolific Italian designer sought to create an object that allowed the design to enhance the function; for example, the cylindrical shape of the casing which extends over the dial to create an anti-reflective screen is extended at the back to allow for two positions. Like many designs by Joe Colombo, the Optic alarm clock is not a clinical instrument, instead it has a strong personality married with functionality and considered design.
  • Second edition of the best-selling alarm clock created in 1970 and published by Alessi in 1988
  • Hour-hand, minute-hand and alarm (red hand)
  • Quartz movement
  • Operates on a 1.5V battery
  • Two positions : inclined or flat
